Positive Canine Behaviour

She’s not a bad dog. You’re not a bad owner. You just need the right trainer.

Specialist behaviour and training for reactive, anxious and rescue dogs in Berkshire. If you’ve tried everything and your dog still lunges, barks, freezes or bites, you’re in the right place.

The Problem

If any of this sounds familiar, you’re in the right place.

None of this means you’ve failed. It means you’ve been given the wrong advice by people who didn’t understand your dog.

The Programmes

01

The Behaviour Programme

For reactive, anxious, aggressive, traumatised or recently rescued dogs. We start with a Zoom assessment to map the case in full, then move into in-person work over four or eight weeks depending on what your dog needs. Real-world settings.

02

The Training
Programme

For dogs who pull, won’t recall, jump up, bark at the door or just need a proper foundation. Four sessions or two, run in neutral environments where real distractions live. We don’t train in your kitchen. We train where the world is.

03

The Pack Walks (Graduates Only)

A continuation programme for clients who’ve completed a behaviour or training package. Twice-monthly group walks designed to embed the work, plus access to the wider graduate community and ongoing support.

Who I Help

I work with the dogs nobody else could fix.

Reactive dogs. Aggressive dogs. Resource guarders. Anxious dogs. Rescue dogs settling into a new life. Adolescents who used to be perfect and now aren’t. Adult dogs who never had a foundation. Bite-history cases. Multi-issue cases. The dogs everyone called too much.

If your dog is on that list, we should talk.

How It Works

Book a free 15-minute Zoom call.

We talk through your dog, what you’ve tried, where you’ve got stuck and whether I’m the right fit. No sales pitch. If I can’t help, I’ll tell you who can.

We choose the right programme

Behaviour or training. Built around your dog’s case, your schedule and your real life. You get a written plan, in-person sessions in the environments where your dog’s issues actually live, and WhatsApp support all the way through.

You walk away with a different dog.

And, more importantly, with the handling skills to keep them that way for the rest of their life. Most of my work is teaching you, not the dog.

Meet Tamsin

I’m Tamsin. I’ve spent my adult life with the dogs nobody else wanted.

Bait dogs. Severe resource guarders on their fourth home. Reactive rescues. Fear-aggressive dogs. The dogs everyone gave up on. They taught me what works, what doesn’t, and why most training advice fails the dogs that need it most.

I’m fully qualified as a behavioural specialist and as a canine hydrotherapist. The hydrotherapy training matters more than people realise. A huge proportion of what gets labelled as a behaviour problem is actually undiagnosed pain. I know how to spot it.

Why Me

Most trainers learn from books. I learned from the dogs nobody else wanted.

Common Questions

My dog has bitten before. Can you still help?

Yes. Bite-history cases are some of the most common dogs I work with. Behaviour underpinned by fear, frustration or guarding is rarely as fixed as it feels. The Behaviour Programme is built for exactly this kind of case.

Do you use prong collars or e-collars?

Never. Everything I do is reward-based, force-free, and grounded in current behavioural science. Aversive tools shut behaviour down without changing the emotion underneath it. That’s suppression, not training, and it tends to come back worse later on.

How long until I see results?

Most clients see real change within the first three weeks. Bigger emotional shifts take longer. We’re not patching the surface. We’re rewiring the response. That takes time, patience and consistency, but the changes stick.

How much does it cost?

Pricing depends on which programme is right for your dog. I’ll talk you through everything on the free discovery call so you know exactly what you’re getting and what it costs before you make any decision.

Where do you cover?

Berkshire, primarily Bracknell, Wokingham, Warfield and the surrounding areas. Free travel within 10 miles. Beyond that, a small travel fee applies. Zoom assessments are available anywhere.

You’ve read enough.
Let’s talk about your dog.
